Congratulations to all the participants of our largest Kentlands/Lakelands 5K Run, Walk & Kids Fun Runs ever!

2009 5K Race Donates $12,500 to 3 Charities
As a non-profit and philanthropic organization, the Kentlands Community Foundation donated 50% of the Race net proceeds to (3) nonprofit entities: $10,500 was granted to the Dolores C. Swoyer Scholarship Fund that gives children in need the opportunity to attend the City of Gaithersburg's summer camp. $1,500 was granted to The Dwelling Place, Inc that provides transistional housing for families in Montgomery County, a $500 donation was given to the Maryland Senior Olympics, a non-profit that gives Maryland's Senior athletes the opportunity to compete in 32 different sports each fall.
