Doors open at 6:15 for Walk-in ticket sales and reception, with the films beginning at 7 pm sharp at the Gaithersburg Arts Barn (311 Kent Square Road). Refreshments are available.

Manhattan Short Film Festival International Winners Announced

Skhizein, the14-minute animated short by French director Jeremy Clapin, was named best short film in the 12th annual Manhattan Short Film Festival. Skhizein is the first animated film to claim the main award in the Festival’s 12-year history.

The best fiction award goes to Hammerhead, which was the second runner up.

Best documentary film award went to Mozambique from the 17-year old Alcides Soares, the youngest finalist in the history of Manhattan Short.

Our audience voted for its favorite film and the results are:
