Manhattan Short Film Festival

The Manhattan Short Film Festival which, thanks to the generosity of cinema manager, Paul Huang , was held at the Kentlands Cinema 10 on October 2. The same ten short movie finalists, which were chosen from 598 entries, were shown around the world during one week. Audience members cast a vote for their favorite. In its second year at the Cinema this event drew a crowd of over 140 who voted David and Goliath, a movie from the USA, as their favorite. The film was set in the Second World War and based on a true story. This film was also the favorite of all the international audiences. Kentlands similarly chose the second world-wide favorite – an Australian movie, Dik, about the upset in a family caused by a picture drawn by a child. More information about the Manhattan Short Film Festival can be found at www.msfilmfest.com.
