Musica Viva Kentlands was pleased to hold our eleventh annual outdoor concert on the lawn of the Kentlands Clubhouse (485 Tschiffely Square Rd, Gaithersburg, MD) on September 20 at 6:00 p.m. This event was free to attend and also live-streamed for those who could not join us in person.
Everyone at Musica Viva worked diligently to put together what we believe was our best concert yet. The program was headlined by a performance of Beethoven’s Sixth Symphony (Pastoral). This much-loved piece was familiar to many of our audience members and its performance by our orchestra of over forty professional musicians was truly something special. The concert featured a performance by our two brilliant soloists (Alessandra Cuffaro and Ken Ding) of the Brahms Double Concerto for Violin and Cello. We also included a fun piece in the repertoire where our audience members helped us make the music.
Musica Viva prides itself on being a family event where people of all ages can gather together to hear some of the world’s most beautiful music in a lovely outdoor setting. Our audience was able to enjoy a magical evening led by our artistic director and conductor, Simeone Tartaglione.
