An Evening of Opera in Support of the Arts: “Highlights from La Bohème”

The Kentlands Community Foundation (KCF) and its Musica Viva program are thrilled to announce an unforgettable evening of opera, Highlights from La Bohème, on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the Kentlands Arts Barn. This special fundraiser offers the perfect blend of high culture, community spirit, and an opportunity to support local arts initiatives.

A Night of Romance and Passion
The evening will feature exceptional vocalists from the Catholic University Voice Department, who are preparing for their full production of Puccini’s iconic opera, La Bohème. Under the direction of Erica Marie Ferguson, these talented performers will bring to life the poignant love story of Rodolfo and Mimì, the vibrant camaraderie of their bohemian friends, and the timeless beauty of Puccini’s music.

Set in 19th-century Paris, La Bohème follows four struggling artists who find love and friendship amidst the challenges of poverty and ill health. This operatic masterpiece captures the resilience of youthful passion and the bittersweet realities of life.

Before the performance, guests will enjoy a champagne and chocolate reception, setting the tone for an elegant and inspiring evening.
