When you participate in or sponsor the Kentlands|Lakelands 5K, you support a community tradition that delivers meaningful impact far beyond race day.

Your support helps sustain 14 year-round programs of the Kentlands Community Foundation, advancing arts, culture, education, environmental sustainability, and volunteerism throughout Gaithersburg.

These camps support social development, creativity, learning, and physical activity, helping children build confidence and lasting connections during the summer months.


Mercy Health Clinic

Mercy Health Clinic delivers high-quality medical care to uninsured and underinsured individuals living in Gaithersburg. The clinic provides primary and preventive healthcare services regardless of a patient’s ability to pay, addressing critical gaps in access to medical care. By offering compassionate treatment in a welcoming environment, Mercy Health Clinic helps improve health outcomes and quality of life for vulnerable residents.


Gaithersburg HELP

Gaithersburg HELP provides essential support services to residents experiencing short-term financial or personal crises. The organization assists with food access, transportation, prescription costs, and other urgent needs that help stabilize households during difficult times. Through compassionate, confidential assistance, Gaithersburg HELP plays a critical role in supporting the wellbeing and resilience of the local community.


Maryland Senior Olympics

The Maryland Senior Olympics promotes healthy aging through organized athletic competitions and recreational opportunities for adults aged 50 and older. Participants engage in a wide range of sports that encourage physical fitness, goal-setting, and social connection. Nourish NOW

Nourish Now addresses food insecurity by recovering surplus food and redistributing it to families, individuals, and nonprofit partners in need. The organization rescues nutritious food that would otherwise go to waste, creating a sustainable solution that supports both hunger relief and environmental responsibility. Through its food recovery network, Nourish Now helps ensure reliable access to healthy meals for communities across the region.


Pleasant View Historical Association

The Pleasant View Historical Association preserves and shares the history of Gaithersburg’s African American community. Through education, storytelling, and preservation initiatives, the organization highlights important local narratives that might otherwise be overlooked. Its work fosters historical awareness, cultural understanding, and pride, ensuring that community history is honored and accessible for future generations.


G-PARC. Gaithersburg Parks, Art and Recreation Corporation

G PARC, the Gaithersburg Parks, Arts and Recreation Corporation, supports arts and cultural programming throughout the city, including operations and improvements at the Gaithersburg Arts Barn. The Gaithersburg Arts Barn is a vital cultural hub offering visual and performing arts programs for all ages. Funding for the Arts Barn’s Legacy Campaign contributes to theater enhancements that improve facilities, expand programming, and enhance the experience for artists, students, and audiences throughout the community
