Kentlands Community Players is a volunteer-driven theater group dedicated to producing authentic, accessible, and inclusive community theater. KCP focuses on works that are produced, directed, and performed by local residents, with a mission to keep live theatre thriving in our community.
About Kentlands Community Players
Founded in 2019, Kentlands Community Players is a Kentlands Community Foundation program whose mission is to produce community theatre in the truest sense of the word. KCP is a theatre group run by local community members and with works produced, directed, and performed by local artists with a passion for live theatre, and with a focus on theatrical productions accessible to audiences of all ages.
Past productions include full-length comedies and dramas, one-act plays, and a pivot to virtual productions during the pandemic. KCP is excited to bring live theatre to the community, to represent the Kentlands Community Foundation in the greater DMV area, and is a grateful recipient of funding from the Montgomery County Government and the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County, and of several grants for arts and humanities secured via the Kentlands Community Foundation
