The Great Green Gathering: Together We Grow, Together We Create
The Gaithersburg Artist Collective is hosting a family-friendly Earth Day Arts & Crafts Festival! Free activities, eco‑crafts, and fun for all ages! Join us just outside of Artists on Market on Saturday, April 18 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Main Street Park. Participate in fun and creative drop-in crafts, Earth-Day themed activities, and learn more about ways that you can do your part to take care of our beautiful planet.
Planned activities include:
-decorating seed pots that you will plant seeds in to grow at home
-learning more about the Monarch Butterflies, and watching a video about them
-participating in Woven in Nature, an eco-friendly re-purposing activity weaving branches wit non-recyclable plastics and yarn
-decorating your own birdhouse
-enjoying a Master Gardener talk on Native Plantings
In addition, we will expand on our Spring Show with more “green-themed artwork” for sale on the day of this event.

Musica Viva: Jazz Edition returns to the Lakelands Clubhouse on April 18 with Miles at 100: Miles Davis and his Musical Heirs, a centennial tribute to jazz legend Miles Davis featuring TheUpBeets.
Guests are invited to arrive at 7:00 p.m. for a champagne and chocolate reception, with the concert beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Lakelands Clubhouse. Tickets are $45 and available at kentlands.org/musica-viva.
Proceeds from this performance help sustain the organization’s annual free outdoor classical concert, scheduled for September 19, 2026 on the Kentlands Clubhouse lawn.
The Lakelands Clubhouse is located at 960 Main Street, Gaithersburg, MD.
Early purchase is recommended, as seating is limited. Processing fees are non refundable.

Kentlands Under the Lights is a beloved community-wide celebration that brings families and friends together to dine under the stars. Inspired by a traditional small-town Italian festival, this event has grown each year and become a cherished Kentlands tradition.
This event is free to attend, with food and drinks available for purchase from participating vendors.
Now in its 33rd year, the Kentlands | Lakelands 5K Run, Walk, and Kids Fun Run is a beloved community tradition hosted by the Kentlands Community Foundation.
The race has become the most significant 5K event in Montgomery County and a beloved community tradition that brings together residents, families, athletes, and volunteers to celebrate community, wellness, and philanthropy.
The event draws over 1,500 runners and walkers, 300+ children in the Kids Run and Tot Trot, and more than 2,000 spectators and community members who join us for the post-race festival, which features live music, food vendors, giveaways, and family-friendly fun
Join Musica Viva for an unforgettable evening of music under the stars! On Saturday, September 19th at 6:00 p.m., we’re bringing our annual Free Concert on the Lawn to the Kentlands Clubhouse and you’re invited!
Enjoy a beautiful outdoor setting while listening to a carefully chosen program of beloved orchestral pieces, performed by some of the region’s finest musicians under the direction of Maestro Simeone Tartaglione.
Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and picnic baskets, and spend a relaxing evening with family, friends, and neighbors. The concert is free and open to all, so spread the word and come early to grab a great spot!
