Membership is determined through a competitive jurying process. Not all applicants will be accepted, but all applications are carefully reviewed.
Prospective members can apply here

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. To apply, you must submit:
A completed application form
An artist statement
A resume
8–10 images of your original artwork (please do not submit classwork)
All visual arts mediums (2D and 3D) are welcome to apply. The current application fee is $50.

No. There is no residency requirement to become a member.

A 30% commission is retained by the Gaithersburg Artist Collective on all artwork sales. These funds support gallery operations and programming. The Kentlands Community Foundation facilitates the sales process.

Yes. Members are required to pay monthly dues.

In order to participate in the collective, in addition to paying dues, and gallery-sitting, members must play an active role on committees - one as a team lead, and one as a supporting member.
