Audition for Kentlands Community Players’ January 2027 production of I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change at the Gaithersburg Arts Barn!
Directed by Noel Schoonover, with Music Direction by Arielle Bayer, this fast, funny, and sharply observed musical revue dives headfirst into the absurdities of modern love. From first dates to second marriages, baby-talk to retirement flirtations, it covers the full spectrum of romance.
Audition dates:
· Tuesday, October 6th and Wednesday, October 7th.
· Callbacks on Thursday, October 8th. If called please wear clothing for movement.

Preparation:
Show off your range, storytelling and characterization with two songs 16-32 bars:
1. One love song
2. One Broadway comic belt
The cast consists of 4 performers (2 female; 2 male), with the ability to represent ages 20-60. Through 20 songs and 40 characters, I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change is presented in the form of a series of vignettes connected by the central theme of love and relationships. The musical’s tagline is "Everything you have ever secretly thought about dating, romance, marriage, lovers, husbands, wives and in-laws, but were afraid to admit."
Actors of all ages, races, ethnicities, and gender identities will be considered for this production. The creative team especially seeks diverse casting. Advance sign-up is preferred.
