Welcome to Gallop to Glory

Celebrate adventure, heroism, and triumph as Musica Viva Kentlands presents Gallop to Glory, our annual free outdoor orchestral concert honoring America’s 250th birthday.

Under the direction of Music Director Maestro Simeone Tartaglione, this year’s performance features a full professional orchestra, internationally acclaimed violin soloist Alessandra Cuffaro, and an inspiring program of beloved orchestral masterpieces. Bring a lawn chair or picnic blanket and enjoy exceptional live orchestral music in one of the region’s most welcoming outdoor settings.

Meet This Year’s Featured Artists

Maestro Simeone Tartaglione

Music Director & Conductor

Music Director Maestro Simeone Tartaglione founded Musica Viva Kentlands nearly a decade ago with a vision of making professional live orchestral music welcoming and accessible to everyone. An accomplished conductor, educator, and internationally respected musician, his career has taken him to concert halls and festivals throughout the United States and Europe, including a recent appearance conducting at Carnegie Hall as part of the New York Symphonic Invitational. Under his artistic leadership, Musica Viva has become one of the region’s most anticipated annual cultural traditions, bringing professional musicians together each September for a free outdoor concert enjoyed by audiences of all ages.

Alessandra Cuffaro

Internationally Acclaimed Violin Soloist

Internationally acclaimed violinist Alessandra Cuffaro has captivated Musica Viva audiences since the organization’s inaugural concert nearly a decade ago. Recognized for her technical brilliance and expressive artistry, she performs regularly as a soloist and chamber musician throughout the United States and Europe. Earlier this year she appeared at Carnegie Hall with the New York Chamber Players Orchestra, performing a concerto by renowned Italian composer Franco Mannino in tribute to her late mentor and friend. This year’s concert marks a meaningful return as she performs Zapateado, the same work she performed at Musica Viva’s very first concert.
