The New Urbanism Committee of the Kentlands Community Foundation is pleased to host the City of Gaithersburg’s Planning Department for a follow-up discussion of the City’s Kentlands Commercial District. Staff has taken into account the feedback received from the last meeting and has created recommendations with this in mind. This is your opportunity to provide feedback on the City’s draft Master Plan update, including goals, visions, and strategies.

What is a Master Plan? The City of Gaithersburg is updating its Master Plan, an effort called Build Gaithersburg 2040. A Master Plan is a document that outlines a long-term vision for the community, defining visions and goals and presenting a “road map” to achieve them. This Master Plan update is focused on transportation and land use.
