MINDFULNESS PRACTICES IN MARK MAKING - $50

Join us for a creative mindfulness and mark-making workshop using natural materials, traditional art media, and nature-inspired design practices. This experiential art workshop invites participants to slow down, reconnect creatively, and explore expressive art-making in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Create original designs inspired by nature and handmade creative processes while engaging with mindfulness-based art practices focused on observation, texture, movement, and playful experimentation. This workshop encourages curiosity, relaxation, and creative expression without pressure, perfectionism, or performance. Samples, natural studies, materials, and guided prompts will be provided. Whether you are new to art or have years of creative experience, this workshop is designed to help rekindle a sense of play, reflection, and creative renewal.

Now in its 33rd year, the Kentlands | Lakelands 5K Run, Walk, and Kids Fun Run is a beloved community tradition hosted by the Kentlands Community Foundation.

The race has become the most significant 5K event in Montgomery County and a beloved community tradition that brings together residents, families, athletes, and volunteers to celebrate community, wellness, and philanthropy.

The event draws over 1,500 runners and walkers, 300+ children in the Kids Run and Tot Trot, and more than 2,000 spectators and community members who join us for the post-race festival, which features live music, food vendors, giveaways, and family-friendly fun.
